Floyd’s hands-on approach and track record of innovative and practical solutions can be traced to roots as a squad leader, and aircraft-certified welder/machinist in the US Air Force and subsequently with the Airborn Special Operations Test Directorate on Ft. Bragg NC, all while completing his Engineering degree. Practical application of engineering technology and a focus on solving real-world root cause problems continues to drive excellent results. Upon completion of engineering school Floyd put his unique combination of hands-on skills and engineering education to work, solving process, organizational, and design improvements for Stanley Tools, Heatcraft, United Technologies Carrier, Knorr-Bremse, Welch-Allyn, and GE.
